Join our dynamic team at Auckland One Rail , the provider of passenger train services here in Tāmaki Makaurau. Our commitment to delivering efficient and reliable services to our valued customers drives us forward. We are recruiting for three schools of eight people to start next year, with planned start dates of 6 January, 24 March and 19 May. You will be working on board our trains, keeping everyone safe and informed during their journey. About the Role You will be the go-to person for commuters, visitors and other passengers as they travel from A to B. As you walk the length of the train and pass through each carriage during your journey, you will be responsible for making announcements, keeping people informed, answering any questions, de-escalating situations, and operating the doors at each station. Please note this isn't a managerial role - you are responsible for the customers on board the train, their safety, and comfort. This is a permanent, full-time position and you must be able to work rostered shifts across the fortnight on a rotating basis. Full paid training is provided and involves six weeks of classroom training at our Wiri depot and six weeks of on-the-job training across the network. Uniform and PPE are also provided and no previous experience as a Train Manager is required. This is a chance to work in one of the fastest growing industries in Auckland as our transport network continues to expand. About You We are looking for customer-focused, well-presented, health and safety-minded people who are able to stay calm under pressure and can handle stressful situations. Communication is key in this role, and you will need a decent level of physical fitness as you will spend a lot of time on your feet. You will also need :
- The right to work in NZ (NZ Citizenship or Permanent Residency).
- A full, clean, current N.Z. Driver Licence.
- Exceptional communication and fluency in English.
