Responsibilities:
- Ensure all required inspections are carried out and the QA/QC documentation is issued and filed.
- Become familiar with design drawings and specifications.
- Verify site conditions are suitable prior to construction activity.
- Attend Work Inspection Requests to witness and verify that construction activities and execution are in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Ensure REs instructions are being carried out.
- Witness and verify setting out and levels.
- Check services locations and ensure their protection.
- Record results of inspections, tests, work executed, etc.
- Inspect materials delivered to site and confirm they are in accordance with approvals and are correctly stored.
- Observe site safety procedures and notify the contractor of any safety breaches.
- Maintain a daily diary of construction activities and any unusual occurrences.
- Record progress of completed works for inclusion in monthly reports.
- Prepare defects lists for inspected works and issue noncompliance reports for noncompliant works.
- Provide regular information to Engineers regarding all site activities including progress, quality, and health and safety issues.
- Bachelor of Architectural Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years progressive experience as an Architecture Inspector
