Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Industrial Division is exclusively partnered with a multinational organization well-established in the field of manufacturing. Our respected client is seeking a Head of Glass Quality to join their team and support the expansion of their Solar PVC manufacturing site at a cutting-edge, world-class facility in Jamnagar, Gujarat, India. The selected candidate will oversee strategic and tactical responsibilities, implementing quality strategies to exceed customer expectations in product quality, cost, and delivery while driving operational excellence and production optimization. Job Summary The candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturing and customers, to provide technical support and oversee all areas of the Quality function. This includes leading the development of the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with international standards, and driving Lean practices and Continuous Improvement across all quality-related areas in alignment with the organization's strategy. Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the organization's overall quality management strategy.
- Establish quality objectives aligned with business goals and ensure adherence to international standards (ISO, EN, IEC, ASTM).
- Lead and mentor the quality team to ensure consistent quality performance across production units.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the IMS.
- Ensure compliance with relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to meet quality requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments and implement improvement plans.
- Manage incoming material quality to align with production needs.
- Oversee in-process and final product inspections to meet customer specifications.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools to monitor production quality.
- Lead root cause analyses for quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with international and local regulations.
- Manage certifications and compliance audits, including:
- CE Marking (EN 12150-2)
- Factory Production Control (FPC)
- BIS Certification
- ISO 50001, ISO 14040, and ESG requirements.
- Develop and implement quality training programs to enhance technical skills.
- Foster a strong quality culture across the organization by supporting global best practices.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to address product quality complaints.
- Conduct failure analysis on returns and implement corrective actions.
- Incorporate customer feedback into product and process improvements.
- Provide regular reports on key quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, customer complaints, audit findings).
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement.
- Participate in management reviews to address quality risks and opportunities.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Ceramics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC).
- Expertise in root cause analysis, CAPA, and risk management.
- Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma Master Black Belt, or equivalent certifications.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Manufacturing Excellence, IMS, GMP, and Lean practices.
- Familiarity with quality software (QMS tools, SPC tools, ERP systems).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Time and project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- In-depth understanding of best practices in glass production processes.
