Assistant Manager, Transportation & Distribution

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the VM and Procurement process.
• Negotiate with vendors to secure buying rate & profit.
• Track, analyze and check to reduce expenses and cost saving.
• Examine, review and process the existing/new contracts.
• Lead, build and improve effectiveness and teamwork.
• Control and ensure spending cost and buying rate.
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.
• Build relationships and networking with vendors and other sources.
• Find solutions for problem issues from internal teams and vendors.
• Review and ensure RFQ for new projects.
• Collaborate with related divisions for progress on new projects or others.
• Any other job that may be assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements

• Min Diploma or Degree in Business Studies / Administration or equivalent field.
• At least 2-3 years experience in a similar capacity in transportation and distribution.
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both verbal and written skills.
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented.
• Good organizing skills and able to work independently.
• Able to work long hours and under consistent pressure while multi-tasking.
• Problem-solving skills; able to think outside the box to solve problems.
• Good presentation and prospecting skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Teamwork.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
