1-2 week fixed term contract, during NZ School Holidays $23.38 - $29.10 per hour Auckland locations We have sites and support options across the whole Auckland region. Our School Holiday Program is all about fun activities in a safe and positive environment. Our team of support workers ensure that all children are catered for and active participation is achieved. As a Community Support Worker in one of our School Holiday Programmes, you will work as part of a team, dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe, secure and healthy space, where children with a learning disability can spend time in the holidays. Reporting to the Programme Leader, you will facilitate meaningful activities and support children to engage in a variety of tasks. These are fixed term contracts of a variety of shifts, covering two consecutive weeks (Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3.30pm or 4:30pm), which coincide with the school holidays. Skills & Experience
- Committed and passionate for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives
- Ability to communicate effectively and supportively with your colleagues and the people you support
- Empathy and willingness to support people with their personal cares, such as bathing, dressing and toileting
The ideal candidate will have:
- The commitment to achieve a Community Support Worker Level 3 qualification
- Experience supporting people with disabilities and/or challenging behaviours
- Reliability, Commitment, and Passion for working with people
- A full New Zealand driver's licence
- The ability to use a computer effectively, including programs such as Word, Internet Explorer, and email
