What you will do The main purpose of the role is to effectively manage the Service Contract fund by ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of all service claims, while maintaining cost control and profitability. The role also involves providing dealer support through training, performance monitoring, and implementing corrective actions to sustain the service contract portfolio and drive operational excellence. Reporting: This role will report to the Technical Pricing and Quotation Manager: Uptime Service Department. Job Objectives:
- Claims Validation: Determine the validity of service contract repairs and claims by performing necessary checks to ensure accuracy and quality before fund allocation.
- Pre-authorization Management: Oversee the pre-authorization processes for dealer repair and service requests.
- Cost Management: Manage costs associated with service contracts to maintain a profitable business.
- Dealer and Customer Support: Assist with dealer and customer inquiries regarding claims and contract status.
- Dealer Network Management: Monitor and analyze overall dealer network behaviour, culture, and training needs. Generate and analyze reports on claim and dealer behaviour, providing suggested solutions and necessary corrective actions with scheduled follow-ups. Manage Dealer Management tool.
- Dealer Training: Conduct regular dealer training sessions, identify specific training requirements, and create and maintain relevant training materials.
- Dealer Audits: Facilitate dealer audits and conduct dealer visits according to a travel plan.
- 3 – 5 years' experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Relevant industry experience as a Technician / Service Advisor (Advantageous).
- Grade 12 with N3.
- Bachelor's degree (Advantageous).
- Qualified Diesel Technician (Advantageous).
- Financial Certification (Advantageous).
- Product Knowledge (Trucks & Bus).
- Knowledge and understanding of fair wear and tear of components.
- Knowledge and understanding of vehicle diagnosis and fault-finding.
- Repair and servicing procedures.
- General administrative knowledge.
- Good knowledge of Service Maintenance Contracts and Warranties.
- Basic cost accounting.
- Administrative Skills, writing, reporting and analyzing data.
- Computer proficiency (MS Office suite, PowerBi, Excel Advanced / Intermediate).
