The Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Service supports the frontline policing and corporate operations of SAPOL through the provision of ICT infrastructure and communication platforms, operational software applications, and support services. The Service is responsible for driving the ongoing evolution of ICT capability across SAPOL, through the delivery of high-quality ICT change programs. The Service is structured across four core pillars: Strategy, Innovation and Engagement; Program Delivery; Operational Services; and Security. The Service extends from traditional ICT services to encompass a specialist radio and technology capability, including laser and radar calibration services. The Quality and Assurance Branch provides a wide range of services to IS&T to enable the Service to provide quality reliable systems and services to SAPOL. This includes managing the lower environments and providing effective change control to protect the production environment as well as a testing service to the rest of the IS&T Service, assuring quality and usability of new or enhanced systems and services. The Branch also manages SAPOL’s IS&T contracts and relationships, along with managing IT assets and related equipment. The Team Leader, IS&T Contracts and Assets is accountable for leading a specialist team in the establishment, embedding, evaluation and continuous improvement of IS&T asset management, including software licensing and IS&T contract management related services. The role works collaboratively with the SAPOL Procurement and Contract Management Branch and provides expert advice to executive, business managers and staff in relation to contract establishment, management, non-compliance and related policy and procedures. You will be working to implement and scale a standard framework for the end-to-end lifecycle for contracts and assets (both hardware and software) within SAPOL's IS&T Service. Success in this position will be achieved by your attention to detail, methodical approach, along with initiative and enthusiasm to lead, motivate and support a high performing team throughout a period of change and implementation. The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge in contract establishment, management and governance. You will be an expert in understanding contract related policies and procedures to ensure you are providing consistent and reliable advice to executives, business managers and staff. Ideally you will have experience working on large and complex ICT asset portfolios, however, if you have extensive experience in contract and asset management across other sectors your skills, enterprise and passion are the credentials we are seeking. SUCCESS
- Extensive experience initiating, delivering and evaluating ICT contract administration and hardware and software asset management programs and services, within a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated high level of analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to think laterally and conceptually to problem solve, as well as develop plans, strategies, and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate and present complex concepts clearly and concisely to people at all levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract and asset management principles and practices, ideally in an ICT context.
- Demonstrated leadership experience to guide and performance manage a high performing team whilst also providing support during a time of changes in framework and approach to procedures.
- The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
- The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
- The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
