Financial Planner/Book Keeper

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Planner/Book Keeper to join our team here at King Scrap Metals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial record-keeping, accounts management, and reporting. You will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy of our company’s financial health and ensure compliance with industry-specific accounting standards. Part time or fulltime work available. It is expected you will have:
- Proven experience in Payroll, Bookkeeping, and Accounts with 2+ years of experience
- Diploma or degree in accounting or finance is preferred
- Proficiency in the use of XERO, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Highly developed organizational skills including the ability to plan and coordinate workloads to achieve goals and meet deadlines under pressure
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative systems and procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Handle expense reports, employee reimbursements, and petty cash management
- Financial reporting including preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses
- Generate and present financial reports for management
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including filing sales tax and GST
- Month and Year end closing procedures, ensuring all invoices and expenses are processed
- Monday to Friday
- Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
