Job Title: Senior Radiographer Salary: £49,000 – Depending on Experience Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday plus On-call participation Contract: Permanent Are you an experienced Senior Radiographer with MRI experience looking for a new challenge in a supportive and dynamic environment? About the Role: As a Senior Radiographer, you will play a key role in providing high-quality MRI services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. You’ll work with state-of-the-art MRI equipment and can work in rotation across other imaging modalities, including CT and General Radiography, ensuring a diverse and fulfilling workload. Your responsibilities will include conducting MRI procedures with precision, mentoring junior staff, ensuring effective communication within the team, and contributing to the hospital’s Quality Assurance and audit programmes. Additionally, you will have the chance to work with multidisciplinary teams, making a real difference in patient outcomes while upholding the hospital’s reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert MRI imaging services, ensuring the best outcomes for patients while adhering to radiation safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain advanced MRI equipment and stay up to date with the latest techniques in MRI imaging.
- Collaborate with consultants, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Manage your caseload of patients, positioning them accurately for MRI scans and adjusting techniques based on clinical needs.
- Participate in rotating through the CT and General Radiography departments, maintaining competencies across all modalities.
- Support junior staff through mentorship and training, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Contribute to the department’s audit, quality assurance, and CPD programmes to maintain continuous improvement in clinical practice.
- A qualified Radiographer with a BSc in Radiography (or equivalent) and HPC registration.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, including proficiency in MRI. Additional experience in CT and General Radiography is a plus.
- Postgraduate training in MRI or experience with Siemens MRI equipment is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear explanations to patients, families, and colleagues.
