We are seeking a talented individual to join our investment team at Mercer. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Senior Manager - InvestmentsValues Aligned & Sustainable Investments team Mercer's US Values-Aligned / Sustainable Investments (VA/SI) team is a global specialist in holistic values-aligned portfolios, including private markets. We offer customized and pooled investment solutions and advisory services for institutional investors across various asset classes.As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work on projects spanning:Portfolio data analytics for client reportingPortfolio design and constructionValues-aligned and sustainable education sessions and workshopsMarketing materials and presentationsThought leadership initiativesWe will count on you to:Support VA/SI team in preparing market-ready deliverables for existing clients and new business opportunitiesResponsible for understanding different segments within public markets and alternative assets to assist with preparing presentations, and alternative themes to help prepare client deliverables and marketing materialsLiaise with segment, asset class, and consulting teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and expectationsMaintain and update databases with updated information on values-aligned and sustainable investment opportunities across asset classes, including fundraising status, capacity, etc.Coordinate with the VA/SI team to ensure internal colleagues and clients are receiving and aware of intellectual capital produced by the Strategic Research TeamsCoordinate with the VA/SI team and relevant parties to complete RFPsProvide support for client deliverables and marketing materials using Excel and PowerPoint to create models, graphs and tablesFocusing on optimizing client's portfolio returns in balance with values-aligned and sustainability objectives, managing risk effectively and understanding client's current portfolio while navigating towards their goals.Develop and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.What you need to have:Proven investment industry experience (ideally 5-7 years in an investment role) with exposure to values-aligned and sustainable investment strategiesExperience and knowledge of portfolio analyticsExperience with Public Equities or Alternatives asset classes (i.e., Private Equity, Private Debt, Infrastructure/Real Estate, or Hedge Funds) preferred.Proven ability to Synthesize complex data analytics into a client-ready, accurate, and concise narrative with key takeaways and actionable next stepsExperience designing client-ready, polished presentations or client deliverables that leverage specialist expertise and are visually engaging, with minimal rework and oversightStrong communication skills, manifested in concise written communication and clear verbal articulation, that can express complex topics in ways that can engage a broad audienceProactive and outcome orientated with the ability to work well as part of a team and develop positive working relationships across the organizationAbility to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneouslyAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performing team, supporting colleagues while managing. your own tasks and projects.Master's degree in finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field.CAIA, CFA charterholder or any progress towards it would be preferred.What makes you stand out:Positive and proactive attitude.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to absorb new information quickly.Managing Relationships: Demonstrates the ability to build relationships with colleagues from a variety of different divisions / Demonstrates effective communication skills.Planning and Organising: Able to prioritise workload effectively in order to support the team.Ability to own drive and deliver own work.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performing team, supporting colleagues while managing. your own tasks and projects.Why join our team:We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Mercer believes in building brighter futures by redefining the world of work, reshaping retirement and investment outcomes, and unlocking real health and well-being.
