We're looking for a highly experienced Backend Developer to take charge of building our backend infrastructure from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to work on a mission-critical system that drives the core of our operations.Your RoleAs the Backend Developer, you will:Architect and Develop Core Systems:Build and optimize the entire backend architecture for WTF Gyms, focusing on low-latency APIs, real-time communication, and scalability.Write clean, modular, and efficient code using Node.js, with seamless integration to other system components.API Development and Integration:Develop, document, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for WTF's web and mobile applications.Ensure APIs are optimized for speed, scalability, and security.Database Design and Optimization:Create and optimize relational databases (MySQL) to handle millions of transactions daily, maintaining sub-millisecond query performance.Work with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis where appropriate, designing hybrid solutions to achieve maximum throughput.System Performance and Monitoring:Build robust, fault-tolerant backend systems with real-time performance monitoring and proactive issue resolution.Implement caching strategies using tools like Redis or Memcached to reduce load times.Security and Compliance:Ensure all systems are secure and compliant with industry standards for data protection.Implement robust authentication and authorization systems, including JWT and OAuth.Collaboration and Leadership:Work closely with the frontend team, DevOps, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices, code reviews, and process improvements.What You Bring5+ years of hands-on backend development experience with Node.js and related frameworks (Express.js, NestJS).Expertise in building scalable APIs with REST and GraphQL.In-depth knowledge of MySQL and advanced database optimization techniques, including indexing, query tuning, and sharding.Experience with caching tools (e.g., Redis, Memcached) and queue management systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).Proficiency in designing microservices architecture and using Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including serverless frameworks, auto-scaling, and load balancing.Solid knowledge of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development (TDD).Strong debugging skills and familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and New Relic.Why Join Us?
