The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for private market investments.Profile description:Investment Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential investment opportunities in targeted sectorsAnalyze financial statements, business plans, and company performance to evaluate potential investmentsPrepare comprehensive investment memos and presentations for the investment committeeDue Diligence: Assist in the due diligence process, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment of potential acquisitionsCollaborate with external advisors, including legal, accounting, and industry experts, to gather relevant information and insightsCollaborate in creating materials that explain funds to internal client-facing colleaguesPortfolio Management: Monitor and report on the performance of portfolio funds, providing updates and insights to the investment teamKeep the information available on portfolio funds up-to-date for both the investment team and external clientsPrepare reports on portfolio funds for external clients Deal Sourcing & Networking: Support deal sourcing efforts by identifying potential investment opportunities through industry research, networking, and attending conferencesBuild and maintain relationships with industry contacts, intermediaries, and entrepreneurs to generate deal flowFinancial Modelling & Valuation: Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess investment opportunities and support decision-makingConduct valuations using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), precedent transactions, and market comparableCandidate description: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CPA) is a plus2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a related fieldStrong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skillsExcellent knowledge of venture capital / private equity industry trends and investment strategiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment AGG
