Preferred qualificationsQualification : CA or CPA or CFAYear of Experience : 10 Years +Roles and ResponsibilitiesThe Controllership Manager performs a wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to:Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functionsManaging the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business resultsProvides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Providing management with information vital to the decision-making processCoordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements, including working with external auditors for internal, external and SOX auditsManaging the budget process - Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processesEvaluating accounting and internal control systemsEvaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as neededOverseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and complianceMaximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.Complies with statutory and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.Ensures operation of equipment by establishing preventive maintenance requirements and service contracts, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees including coaching, counselling, monitoring and appraising job results. SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:The more common skills and attributes that are needed for this role may include:Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting and audit experienceSignificant analytical skillset, including the utilisation of BI and reporting toolsExcellent communication skills with ability to build relationshipsStrong influencing and interpersonal skillsHigh level of commercial acumenAdvanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packagesProfessional qualification such as CA or CPA or CFAExperience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellasExperience with financial reporting requirements PRB
