Responsibilities:
- Monitor & control direct & indirect material inventories to achieve defined stock level.
- Collaborate with production planning on production usage on production forecast.
- Coordinate with sales & production planning department for production materials forecast & usage.
- Prepare material forecast to supplier.
- Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
- Follow up for any materials shortages and provide solutions.
- Minimize obsolete stocks & ensure stocks at minimum liability.
- Support in any other purchasing activities.
- Alert the respective department / PIC on expired materials.
- Assist Purchasing Manager on materials positioning status for top management.
- Initiate and support cost-saving activities.
- Develop and maintain compliance on departmental goals and policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with purchasing systems and tools, including ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
