As a traditional DMC, Desert Gate has all you can expect from a first-rate ground handler, such as excellent contracting, creative excursions, and superior in-resort service levels.Responsibilities:
- Must be aware of all aspects of the excursions program with relation to the tours sold on board.
- The overall responsibility of the Travel Desk / Experience Advisor is the day operation of the Sales program.
- Sell tours to guests, generating revenue for the company.
- Provide information to guests on tours available to promote tour sales.
- Assist guests with questions relating to excursions and offer help with any special requests.
- Ensure that the monthly sales target has been achieved.
- Sending daily sales report to the Experience Manager.
- Sending daily attendance report to HR dept.
- Entering all the bookings in the system.
- Following up with the finance department regarding the cash payment.
- Good general knowledge of our products and services.
Requirements:
- Must be located in Qatar.
- Strong background in sales and in achieving sales targets.
- Speaker of other foreign language is an advantage (Russian/French/German/Italian/Czech/Polish).
- Experience in customer service roles in the Destination Management / travel and tourism industry.
- Sound knowledge of Qatar destinations would be an advantage.
- Should have excellent selling and promotional skills.
- Good product knowledge and handling the overall operation of the sales programs.
- Resilient and flexible approach with the ability to respond to customer and company needs.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Driving License holder is an advantage.
