Qualifications & Experience (Must Haves):
- Experience of 10-12 years in data management.
- Thoughtful leader on Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Integration strategy, BI technologies, Data Governance, and service lifecycle management.
- Develop, Drive & Maintain Data Integration Roadmap and best practices.
- Overall responsibility for all technical business requirements gathering deliverables, and implementation.
- Deliver integration solution architecture and high to low-level designs for Data Solutions.
- Tenured experience in Data Engineering, working on Azure and MSBI projects.
- Experience with data modelling - dimensional data model and 3rd normalised data model.
- Hands-on experience with migration and assessment of data warehouse projects.
- Experience setting up a new data warehouse, including technology identification, architecture, capacity planning, workload management, and success criteria/adoption by business users.
- Good understanding of cloud and big data technology.
- Understanding of RDBMS databases and concept and implementation of NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cosmos.
- Data warehouse – Should have hands-on data warehouse implementation experience using Azure SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure SQL DW, SSIS and ADF.
- Proven background in designing and implementing large-scale, global, complex custom application development systems on MSBI (e.g., high transaction volumes).
- Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with corporate executives and technical teams.
- Aid in developing strategies for integrating data from various SaaS applications.
- Should have designed, configured, and implemented Azure data lake and data warehouse solutions at the infrastructure level.
- Experienced working in reporting tools SSRS, Power BI and Tableau.
- Strong in TSQL, PowerShell, stored procedures, and scripting.
- Should have experience data migrating from on-premises to the cloud.
- Should possess a good understanding of data governance (metadata management, data lineage, audit logging, data quality and master data management).
- Should know about Azure DevOps.
- Experience in practical implementations of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools.
- Good to know AZURE Cloud platform services stack - Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, AZURE Data Warehouse, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, HD Insight, Cosmos DB, etc.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing scripts for custom ETL processes and automation in any programming knowledge, i.e., PowerShell, Python/Java etc.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing stored procedures/functions and leveraging ETL packages/workflows.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Should be skilled in creating architecture and design documentation and knowledge of data engineering tools & technologies.
