Our client is a leading medium-sized business that supplies high-quality locks, door handles, hinges, and accessories to the door manufacturing industry. With a strong presence in both the aluminum and fabrications sector as well as the timber and joinery industry, they are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager/Account Manager to join their growing team. This role offers a perfect blend of business development (60%) and account management (40%). You’ll have the opportunity to build and cultivate relationships with new clients in the aluminum, fabrications, timber, and joinery industries. Additionally, you’ll inherit a portfolio of established clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction while driving further growth. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business and create lasting relationships in the aluminium, fabrications, timber, and joinery sectors.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring continued success and satisfaction.
- Identify emerging market trends and implement strategies to increase market share.
- Represent the company at trade shows, events, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
- Work closely with the Branch Manager and internal teams to deliver seamless customer service.
- Focus on acquiring new clients and retaining current accounts, with performance measured through key metrics.
- Background in door manufacturing, construction, or related industries, with an understanding of aluminium and fabrication or timber and joinery markets.
- A strong track record in business development and account management—balancing new business generation with nurturing existing client relationships.
- A basic understanding of door hardware and accessories is a bonus, with the ability to quickly learn technical details.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ambitious and driven, with a desire to align your career goals with our client’s long-term succession plan.
