Senior Electrical Engineer (Heavy Current)

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)

1. Experience in heavy current Electrical Engineering, with a strong emphasis on Design and Project Management
2. Proficiency in engineering tools and software such as Retic Master, PowerOffice, Bentley MicroStation, DigSilent, Dialux, etc.
3. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Projects included

1. Strong analytical capabilities coupled with exceptional attention to detail
2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills
3. Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment
4. A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel to project sites as needed

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement electrical designs and systems for heavy current applications
2. Manage engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope
3. Conduct technical evaluations and provide solutions for complex engineering challenges
4. Prepare detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations
5. Oversee project progress and ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications
6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align project goals and deliverables
7. Perform on-site inspections to assess project execution and address any issues
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and professional engineering standards
9. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members and junior engineers
10. Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure project success
