We are looking for a Senior Dietitian / Dietitian to join the team. As a Senior Dietitian / Dietitian, you will apply the science of nutrition to promote health and well-being, improve dietary habits, and manage various medical conditions of our clients in the community and across all our service settings, in a transformative and sustainable way. Responsibilities: Manage clients’ nutrition-related diseases using medical nutrition therapy across SLEC’s services: Evaluate clients’ nutritional and dietary needs in accordance with established protocols. Create an individually tailored nutrition treatment plan. Confer with the care team to coordinate medical and nutritional needs, making recommendations for tube feedings and/or oral nutrition supplements. Evaluate the nutrition treatment plan through regular follow-up to determine the achievement of goals and outcomes, adjusting the plan as necessary. Maintain appropriate patient records and departmental statistics as required. Plan, develop, and implement health and nutrition education activities or programmes for the community (including clients, caregivers, and the general public) to promote well-being and health. Conduct or participate in community outreach activities related to health promotion. Develop and update nutrition education materials and resources for clients, carers, the general public, and community health service providers. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support multidisciplinary health programmes focusing on nutrition education/activities. Assist with catering tender evaluation. Coordinate and manage the catering for the centres, including liaising with caterers. Plan, review, and develop menus, including the implementation of therapeutic diets where relevant. Assist with monitoring food quality, upholding hygiene standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory food standards. Contribute to staff training on food hygiene, food portioning, and/or food preparation. Participate in the Dining Culture Programme. Conduct dietary, nutritional, and epidemiological research, including meal satisfaction and outcomes. Participate in nutrition research studies; draw conclusions and make recommendations based on research data and findings. Analyze current clinical knowledge, standards of care, and research to improve patient care and nutrition service offerings. Review current literature regularly to ensure advancements in nutrition care are incorporated into nutrition practices and protocols. Provide consultation and evaluate food service systems to ensure adherence to nutritional guidelines in care facilities. Provide nutrition consultancy and/or dietetic services to nursing home facilities. Provide menu review and endorsement services to caterers serving care facilities. Assist with budget planning, project revenue, productivity, and establish financial targets and objectives. Contribute to reviewing, assessing, and creating community nutrition care policies, guidelines, procedures, and department policies/work instructions to achieve cost containment and improved patient outcomes. Contribute to reviewing clinical plans and workflows for community services. Assist with any other administrative and operational duties as required. Represent the department at meetings and/or conferences as required. Job Requirements: Degree in Dietetics OR Degree in Nutrition with Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics OR Master’s in Nutrition and Dietetics recognized by the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA). Fresh graduates may apply. Relevant clinical experience in healthcare settings with Dietetic services is advantageous. For Senior Dietitian: minimum 4 years of relevant clinical experience in healthcare settings with Dietetic services (with 1-year supervisory capacity preferred). Registered dietitian at the Singapore Nutrition & Dietetics Association (SNDA) or any recognized Dietitians Association is advantageous. Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently. Ability to communicate in Mandarin, Malay, or dialects will be advantageous.
