Our mechanical Engineering Team uses cutting-edge technology to design gas and steam turbines, compressors, and expanders."Please note this role is to pipeline for future openings"Partner with the bestAs a Welder, you will be responsible for:Assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape.Reading drawings and taking or reading measurements to plan layout and procedures.Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.Setting up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).Operating angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.Aligning components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamping pieces.Welding components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).Repairing machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.Maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.Working within precise limits or standards of accuracy.Using general hand tools, power tools needed for welding, and precision measuring equipment.Complying with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental directives and regulations.Completing QC Sheets, manufacturing forms, and completion work forms.To be successful in this role you will:Have a high school diploma or equivalent.Have 1 year of experience in welding.Have extensive experience working with TIG.Have experience in pipe welding.Have cord qualification.Be familiar with types and defects of welding.Have knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).Have deftness and attention to detail.Be proficient in English.Have a professional certification.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
