- Create and manage detailed production schedules and project plans.
- Ensure adequate materials, tools, and workforce for smooth production.
- Contribute to growing the project division, including managing larger, more complex projects.
- Assist with the launch of innovative patented products.
- Oversee production teams, providing clear guidance and resolving challenges to maintain efficiency.
- Manage shop floor operations, including sawing, sanding, drilling, CNC machinery, and Edgebanders.
- Interpret technical drawings to guide assembly and manufacturing processes effectively.
- Monitor production outputs to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with regulations.
- Address production issues, defects, or inefficiencies promptly.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Implement modern systems and technology for optimized production processes.
- Track and report on production progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration between departments to align with company objectives.
- Enforce robust health and safety protocols across the factory.
- Maintain audit and risk assessment documentation.
- Lead efforts to secure ISO9001 accreditation.
- Proven experience managing production workflows, delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong project management expertise, including planning, resource management, and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational skills to oversee complex schedules and teams.
- Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including design, procurement, and quality control.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing or engineering, with a shop floor background.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards (ISO9001 experience preferred).
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings.
- Experience within furniture or joinery would be beneficial but not essential
- 40 Hour week; 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
- 22 days holidays a year, plus bank holidays.
- Salary negotiable at £42k-£48k per annum, depending on experience.
