- HEW 5 salary + 17% superannuation and staff benefits About the Role Are you passionate about creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students? Join our team as an Administration Officer in AccessAbility Services! In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for students accessing our services, ensuring they receive appropriate advice and support for their educational adjustments. Your exceptional communication skills will shine as you assist students and stakeholders through various channels, including face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and email. As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate with staff, students, and external providers to implement tailored educational adjustments and support AccessAbility programs. Your role will also involve managing essential administrative tasks, including management of a database system, operational processes, finance, and human resources for the service. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level quality administrative and support services within a demanding, client-focused environment
- Excellent initiative and self-management skills to deal with the range of functions and tasks in a proactive manner under broad direction.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment, to deliver efficient customer service to a diverse range of clients including understanding of when to escalate complex situations to Team Leader for higher-level guidance
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues, varying communication style accordingly
- High level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to develop sound solutions to problems and issues including the ability to take initiative and generate solutions to unplanned scenarios.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in MS Office and experience in use of and/or management of information and database systems
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation pertaining to the rights of people living with disability and the responsibilities of educational institutions.
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience;
- Or completion of an associate diploma and at subsequent relevant work experience;
- Or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
