Job Description & Requirements As a Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment by performing the following duties: Assist in identifying unsafe conditions and work practices in the worksite by regularly inspecting machinery, equipment, and overall worksite. Recommend measures to improve workplace safety and implement approved measures. Responsible for the prevention or reduction of health and environmental risk. Assist in investigating accidents within the worksite and recommend/implement preventive/corrective solutions. Implement and monitor the WSH System at work sites and deliver various EHS programs and initiatives. Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures. Conduct safety toolbox meetings, briefings, training, and inspections. Update and keep all safety documentation. Ensure that supervisors, workers, and subcontractors follow safe work procedures and that all safety compliances are maintained on site. Assist the Safety Officer/Manager in the preparation of the ISO audit document. Prepare and submit safety reports to the WSH Manager. Drive continuous improvement of EHS operations and processes. Perform daily workplace inspections and rectify unsafe practices/conditions. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior from time to time. Minimum Qualifications: Possess a certificate in Safety Coordinator’s Course or Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health. Possess Confined Space Safety Assessor, Risk Management level 2, and Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant (OPSIC Supervisors). Minimum 3 years of working experience in Construction and petrochemical industries. Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability. Able to work on short notice. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Preferably own a vehicle, but not necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
