Rigger Foreman - Offshore

JOB DESCRIPTION Wood is recruiting Rigging Foreman - Offshore, an exciting & challenging role on the BSP Offshore Rejuvenation project. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Read, understand, and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the rigging and lifting work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
2. Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable workpack/job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings/sketches.
3. Solve simple technical problems associated with his own discipline, plan and control work and materials.
4. Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
5. Raise applicable Permit to Work (PTW) in order to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner.
6. Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner.

1. NVQ Rigging & Lifting Level 3
2. LOLER Planning & Risk Assessment Training
3. Lifting Equipment Inspection
4. CAP Level 2 & Rigger Level 2

8. BOSIET / Approved Offshore Medical
9. MIST / IMIST

Desirable:

1. ISSOW
2. First Step for Supervision
3. CDCA Competence Assurance Assessor Training
4. Wood mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.

Experience Essential:

1. Demonstrable experience post Rigging apprenticeship/training coupled with current relative experience.

Desirable:

1. Demonstrable offshore experience in a chargehand/supervisory role.

1. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and provide direction to ensure subordinate staff comply with operating manual and relevant procedures.
2. Demonstrate commitment to working safely at all times.
3. Flexible - able to comply with company and client requirements.
4. Ability to work with other team members/disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment.
5. Confident and with an ability to work unsupervised and work on own initiative.
6. Has a desire to learn and develop within the role and also develop others as part of nationalization programme.

1. Can demonstrate a high standard in completion of tasks associated with the role of Rigging Foreman as defined in associated job specification.
2. Can demonstrate the ability to read/understand and implement procedures/specifications/drawings/sketches/etc.
3. Can demonstrate the ability to deliver all rigging work scopes to the required/specifed project/industry standards.
