We are looking for a motivated, highly organized and experienced Inventory Controller to join our Retail Team, based at our world class production facility in Crestmead. More about this role: This position is responsible for monitoring inventory, forecasting and coordinating all the movements of finished goods to our customer, ensuring high on time delivery completion and efficient inhouse processes. The role will manage our multi-million dollar inventory portfolio across two businesses, including multiple warehouses across Queensland. Some travel will be required (at least once a fortnight) to the Southern end of Gold Coast (Airport) where our National Bakery business is located. In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:
- Coordinate accurate completion of monthly stocktakes for all goods for both locations.
- Complete monthly inventory and data analysis reports, to review stock on hand, par levels and consumption rates.
- Track incoming and outgoing goods, as well as work in progress (WIP).
- Use our software systems to accurately monitor stock levels, adhering to customer change requirements and ad hoc orders.
- Coordinate movement of stock between locations when required.
- Support the Procurement Manager with strategy, processes & organisational goals.
- Assist with onsite audits at both catering and warehouse locations.
- Work closely with the Planning team to anticipate forecasted future supply.
- Inform customers of inventory updates and any schedule changes.
- Monitor supplier performance and identify any discrepancies including invoicing.
- Provide regular updates to the Procurement Manager on expiry dates of stock, on hold inventory and any losses or discrepancies.
- Contribute to a 'safety first' culture & environment.
- Demonstrated success in a similar role with strong work ethic.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, and the commercial maturity to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Minimum 3 years experience within Logistics and Inventory Control.
- Knowledge of ERP system (ideally JDE or Oracle based system).
- Must be detail oriented and have proficiency in Analysis and Forecasting.
- Available to travel within Queensland between Gold Coast and Brisbane.
- Ability to work independently, organise and manage your own workload.
- Experience with Inventory Management Systems would be beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
