Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems.
- Work with other engineers and clients to improve or develop solar products.
- Use computer-assisted design software and performance analysis equipment to improve controls and instrumentation.
- Direct and coordinate product development tests and assembly activities.
- Design, test and manage the manufacture of electric components used in solar systems.
- Implement, maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, and components for PV systems.
- Teach photovoltaic theory and practice to engineers, technicians, and installers.
- Design the electrical circuitry of solar panels and supporting devices for panels, such as inverters and wiring systems.
- Understand solar resource data and use it to conduct feasibility studies & technology evaluations.
- Prepare project Feasibility Reports/Detailed Project Reports, Technical Specifications, and Bid evaluations.
- Develop detailed drawings of system components for construction and installation; complete electrical and structural designs for photovoltaic projects.
- Conduct client energy load assessments and interpret energy meter data.
- Liaise with channel partners and clients.
- Liaise with EPCs on their design and track EPCs project execution status.
- Review and mark up EPC designs, and carry out PV and BESS designs.
- Procurement.
- Lead on municipal approvals process.
- Construction & commissioning monitoring.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering with typically 2-3 years of experience in handling solar projects.
