Job title: Control System Engineer (contract) Company: Profile Personnel Job description : Job Summary Well established Automation company based in Gqeberha are seeking a qualified and experienced applicant to join their dynamic team. Qualifications:
- National Diploma (Electrical Engineering); National Diploma (Mechatronics); Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics) or similar
- 3 – 5 years of PLC programming experience in the automotive industry
- PLC logic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Omron
- Experience with Interfacing SCADA, motion control, Robotic and measuring systems to PLC applications
- Computer and PLC system configuration knowledge and understanding
- Able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming simulation, testing and start up
- Work logically and systematically and apply problem solving techniques to gain purposeful and conclusive resolve
- Practical understanding and ability to troubleshoot electrical circuitry
- Sound understanding of facility commissioning requirements with at least 1 year exposure in a projects environment
- Practical usage of MS Office software or similar
- Confidently interface and communicate with other technical professionals
- Must speak fluently in English; Afrikaans optional and German advantageous
- Must have a valid Code B (08) driver’s license
- Develop, improve and refine software/code used in projects to improve effectiveness and efficiency within the control systems
