Job Description
- Be responsible for spa treatment consultations and identification of possible contraindications.
- Perform beauty therapy treatments, massage and body therapy treatments, and specialized treatments for the members and guests to the required standard and provide guests with a home-care well-being program.
- Provide aftercare advice for the member or guest.
- Achieve retail sales.
- Ensure that all treatment rooms and therapy back-of-house areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ensure that all equipment is serviced as part of a preventative maintenance program.
- Carry out spa tours and spa consultations with guests and members, giving personalized advice and promoting facilities, treatments, and products.
- Assist during spa promotions and events.
- Assist with marketing and public relations.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
- Perform prep work, properly clean, and restock the room as required.
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, and retail, as well as programs, promotions, and/or discounts available.
- Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Possess an active license or certification in a related field.
- One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
- Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
