We have several Water Services opportunities within our team to deliver on our vision for Waipā to be the 'Home of Champions - Building Connected Communities'. The Waipā District - with key locations of Te Awamutu and Cambridge - is one of the fastest growing regions in Aotearoa. About the Role The opportunity has arisen for a newly created role of Asset Management Team Leader to join our Water Services business unit. The Asset Management Team Leader's role is to lead Waipā District Council's Asset Management Team to maintain and improve our asset data and asset performance understanding in order to deliver high quality, fit for purpose infrastructure plans and renewals programmes, and successfully manage new connections to our network. In order to achieve those objectives, the successful candidate will need to work closely with our Waters Strategic Lead & Programme Manager, aligning our asset management approach to our overall strategic direction, and with the operations team leader to best integrate and support operational experience and maintenance activities. Additionally, they should have the ability to support and mentor others within the asset team to grow their technical and leadership skills. About You Our successful candidate will have an engineering or technical qualification plus a minimum of ten years' experience in Engineering, Planning or other relevant field, with at least 5 years' experience leading a team in a senior role. They will also be a strong communicator and relationship builder, with a desire to shape Waipā's infrastructure for the good of our communities, now and in the future.
