Job Role: Regional Insurance Broker (Employee Benefits) Department: Regional Employee Benefits Report to: Regional Director, Employee Benefits A Leading Global Independent Broker: Howden is a specialist commercial insurance broker with a regional footprint covering Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, part of the London-headquartered Howden Broking Group. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Key Accountabilities: Accountable for the regional SME portfolio – managing all regional SME accounts, referrals, and clients. Monitoring, supporting, and tracking all the regional production and referrals for the Asia Region. Ensuring all GBM clients’ details are input into the Salesforce/Compass system in a timely manner. Acts as a conduit and liaison point between countries to deliver and communicate information and data specifically on country-to-country business collaboration. Technical: General knowledge of employee benefits business is advantageous. Ability to work on relationships needed for effective collaboration is advantageous. Manages assigned projects and contributes to other projects as required. Responds appropriately to urgent coordination issues as they arise. Policy, Process and Procedures: Supports implementation of defined policies regionally to facilitate regional client oversight and ensure that relevant internal operations achieve their business objectives. Environment, Customer Focus and Relationships: Introduce clients to other team members and help maintain these relationships. Behaves with all clients fairly and ethically. Builds and maintains close links with peers, key internal and external stakeholders, working with the business, GBM team and other functions to share information, promote the adoption of best practices, identify risks and opportunities, and deliver business growth. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE: Fresh graduate or candidate with 1 to 2 years of experience in the insurance industry. Good verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, highly organized, resourceful, and meticulous. Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Able to multi-task and work well under pressure. Able to work independently as well as within a team. Good interpersonal skills – able to communicate well across organizational levels.
