The role : Facade Design Manager Ardmore's Landmark Facade Division is on the rise, celebrating a successful period of growth with projects that will leave an indelible mark on London. Now, we're inviting a dynamic Facade Design Manager to join our team and be part of this thrilling journey. In this role, you will:
- Develop cutting-edge design solutions for our recladding division.
- Assist in crafting the Design Responsibility Matrix (DRM).
- Lead the development of the Design Risk Assessment (DRA) and contribute to ongoing Technical Audits.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to create design specifications, ensuring compliance with ER and statutory requirements.
- Dive into the client's brief, ERs, specifications, and drawings, ensuring seamless project execution and assisting in resolving discrepancies.
- Play a pivotal role in site QA, ensuring adherence to ERs, and orchestrating technical staff attendance for control sample sign-offs.
- Proven experience in facade/curtain wall design, either from an architectural consultancy or main contracting background.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software for drafting, delivering shop drawing packages, and architectural tender drawing packages for facade/curtain wall projects.
- Strong knowledge of steel, aluminium, and glass, backed by hands-on experience.
- Expertise in fabrication/assembly drawing.
- Architectural Technology Degree/Construction Related Degree/HND.
- Recladding experience is highly desirable.
