We are seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, migration, customization, and management of SharePoint environments, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal functionality on SharePoint Online. The candidate will also serve as a key advisor for improving workflows, customizations, and solutions within the SharePoint ecosystem. This role provides an opportunity to lead transformative projects and drive the adoption of SharePoint Online, enabling enhanced collaboration and productivity within the organization. Responsibilities:
- Content and Environment Discovery: Conduct comprehensive discovery of the Company's SharePoint On-Premises environment, including custom applications and the Document Management System.
- Content Migration: Plan and execute content migration from SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online.
- Customization Analysis and Recommendations: Analyze existing customizations, applications, and document management systems on SharePoint On-Premises.
- Recommend suitable out-of-the-box features or custom solutions for implementation on SharePoint Online.
- Solution Design and Implementation: Propose and implement solutions for approval workflows, batch jobs, event receiver functionalities, and custom branding (Page Layouts, Master Pages) on SharePoint Online.
- Identify and suggest alternative solutions where product limitations prevent certain functionalities.
- Change Request Management: Implement and manage future change requests for applications hosted on the SharePoint Online platform.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development and migration from on-prem to SharePoint online environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
- Proven experience with SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online environments.
- Expertise in SharePoint migrations, including tools and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online features, limitations, and custom development.
- Experience in developing and implementing approval workflows, batch jobs, and custom branding.
- Ability to analyze and modernize legacy systems and applications for a cloud-based environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and recommend practical solutions.
- Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) integration.
- Experience with modern SharePoint frameworks (SPFx) and development.
- Knowledge of governance and compliance in SharePoint environments.
- Certification in SharePoint or related technologies is a plus.
