Head of Casualty (Insurance) (ID: 664202)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and develop existing and new distribution channels in the Asia Pacific region. Drive refinement of appetite to pursue promising opportunities across the region. Contribute to underwriting governance and quality in collaboration with the head of international casualty. Handle Casualty submissions from underwriters across the region. Manage interface at senior levels of key distribution partners. Manage Underwriting and Financial/Risk Analysis of submissions, quotes, negotiations & bind business. Work closely with underwriters within the Asia Pacific team to grow the portfolio successfully and profitably. Handle certain admin functions; coordinate with the policy admin team to ensure accuracy of work performed, including but not limited to policy issuance, premium booking & filing. Participate in external events when required as a representative of the company. Ability to work in a matrix structure with geographic and product reporting lines. Assist Local and Regional Heads with budgets, reports and Reinsurance Treaty requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree (Finance and Accounting degree are preferable). Knowledge of insurance principles. Minimum 10 years of insurance industry experience in underwriting and/or broking. Knowledge and relationships within the Asia Pacific insurance market. Good analytical, numerical, and literacy skills. Proficient with computers, and experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other industry-related systems.
