Job Role: Civil Design Engineer - Solar Job Title: Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager Location: Chennai/Delhi Division: Engineering Sub Division: Solar Business Unit Detailed Description: Site Assessment and Feasibility Studies:
- Conduct Site Assessments and Feasibility Studies to evaluate the suitability of locations for renewable energy projects.
- Analyse geo-technical date, topographic survey and environmental impact assessments to identify potential challenges and opportunities related to civil engineering design.
- Proficiency in Indian Codes.
- Develop detailed civil engineering design for solar projects.
- Prepare site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, foundation designs and road infrastructure to support the renewable energy installations.
- Ensure that civil design aligns with project objectives, local regulations and environmental considerations.
- Collaborate with the project development team, environmental experts and other stakeholders to integrate civil engineering requirements into the overall project plan.
- Analyse the tender, RFP and prepare BOQ for various solar projects.
- Evaluate the technical aspects of civil engineering proposals from vendors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct technical reviews and provide recommendations to support procurement decisions.
- Prepare BOQ of civil design prepared in house.
- Implement quality assurance processes to verify the accuracy and completeness of civil engineering designs.
- Identify potential risk related to civil engineering aspects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Integrated sustainable design principles and innovative technologies to enhance the performance and efficiency of renewable energy projects.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, modern technologies and advancements in civil engineering design for renewable energy applications.
- Software Knowledge - Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, Staad Pro & CAD
- 8 - 12 years of experience
- Qualification - BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Renewable Energy experience is mandatory
