Job Description: Junior Bid Analyst Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Bid Analyst to join our business development team. The Junior Bid Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the bid process by identifying potential Information Technology bids over various portals and other resources, analyzing bid/tender requirements, gathering data, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and compliant proposals. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow in the field of bid and proposal management. Key Responsibilities: Bid Search and Opportunity Identification: Monitor and search for relevant bid opportunities on government, public sector, and private sector procurement portals. Identify and evaluate potential RFPs, RFIs, and tenders based on the company’s capabilities, target markets, and strategic goals. Maintain a database of open opportunities and track deadlines to ensure timely decision-making. Liaise with internal teams to determine the feasibility of pursuing identified opportunities. Bid Analysis and Compliance:

  1. Analyze tender documents (RFPs, RFIs, RFQs) to identify key requirements, compliance criteria, and submission deadlines.
  2. Create compliance matrices and ensure all proposal components meet client specifications.
Data Collection and Research:
  1. Gather and analyze data on clients, competitors, and industry trends to inform bid strategies.
  2. Work closely with internal teams to collect and validate information required for proposals.
Proposal Support:
  1. Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading proposal documents to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  2. Coordinate with bid managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical and non-technical inputs.
Bid Coordination:
  1. Maintain bid trackers and monitor progress to ensure timely submission of proposals.
  2. Schedule and participate in bid-related meetings, including kickoff sessions, reviews, and debriefs.
Content Management:
  1. Organize and maintain a repository of bid content, templates, case studies, and other reusable materials.
  2. Ensure version control and consistency in proposal documentation.
Reporting and Metrics:
  1. Track bid outcomes and compile reports on success rates, lessons learned, and areas for improvement.
  2. Analyze bid performance data to identify trends and recommend enhancements to the bid process.
Qualifications and Skills: Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Data Analysis, or a related field.
  2. Prior 2-3 years’ experience in bid analysis
  3. Prior experience in data analysis is a plus.
Analytical Skills:
  1. Strong ability to analyze tender requirements, identify key details, and synthesize information effectively.
  2. Proficiency in creating compliance matrices and interpreting bid criteria.
Technical Proficiency:
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with bid management tools is desirable.
  2. Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is an advantage.
Communication and Writing:
  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in writing and proofreading.
  2. Ability to translate technical information into clear and concise language.
Organizational Skills:
  1. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously.
  2. Detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Preferred Skills:
  1. Knowledge of public sector or government procurement processes.
  2. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance frameworks.
  3. Experience with proposal tools (e.g., RFPIO, Loopio) or customer relationship management (CRM) systems is a plus.
