What the role is: You will support key office holders by assisting their respective Press Secretaries and the Director of Communications Advance Department on the effective management of events and public communication outcomes. What you will be working on: You will be engaged in the administrative planning of local and community events, courtesy calls and state visits by foreign dignitaries. You will work with organisers to ensure the event is well-executed. You are the media and liaison officer for the overseas engagements attended by the political office holders and will coordinate the overseas programme elements. You will work with multiple internal teams and a diverse range of external parties and are expected to have good stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities: Management of local events, including issuance of speeches to the media Media liaison and logistical arrangements for incoming visits by foreign dignitaries Coordination of outgoing foreign visits, including media management Media relations and media monitoring Transcription, translation and subtitling What we are looking for: At least two years of experience in public relations, communications-related or event management work (candidates with more experience may be considered for a senior position) Good command of written and spoken English Effectively bilingual Good knowledge of international and domestic current affairs Strong organisational skills. Event management, journalism, social media and digital media communications, and/or marketing communications is a bonus A team player and meticulous Able to work under pressure and resilient Keen interest in public communications and event management Willing to travel overseas, and work evenings, weekends and public holidays Please note that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.
