Freight Handler

Hiring for the following Vacancy

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the product from port to port
• Securing competitive rates with shipping companies and freight forwarders, ensuring timely deliveries
• Coordinating export and import shipments, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring timely submission to Finance/Logistics Manager
• Tracking costs for inbound shipments, updating records for final billing, and closing job files for Finance
• Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including food safety for import/export operations
• Communicating dispatch details to customers, including airway bill numbers and estimated dates of arrival
• Coordinating internally with various teams to implement solutions to customer complaints
• Monitoring transport costs, delivery timelines, and performance metrics
• Assisting with Purchase Order entry and supporting invoicing processes as required
• Performing any other additional tasks as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (preferred but not mandatory)
• 8-10 years of experience in distribution and logistics
• Strong knowledge of local and international shipping lines and freight forwarders
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient in data entry, organization, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with logistics software (ERP)
• Proficient in English; Arabic is a plus
