Commodity Manager

Support to lead and strategize the Commodity organization, resource planning, training, and coaching. Leader of the Supply Chain representing the organization in ensuring the success of external supplier & manufacturer management. Influence the organization with in-depth market situation and ensure supply competitiveness via costing, quality, and supply assurance. Foster the supply chain commitment and relationship with internal stakeholders as well as external business partners. Contribute to the management to develop a high-performance team, and optimize the team performance to meet departmental and organizational KPIs. Develop and implement the Commodity Strategy for the region to align with the Global Commodity lead on global strategy. Lead and ensure the enforcement of Commodity strategy implementation, from NPI until the end of the product life cycle. Resume as Supply lead in maintaining business relationships, supplier development, and key liaison in representing the organization. Develop and lead cost initiatives and be responsible for negotiation with direct purchase and next-tier suppliers where necessary, ensuring competitiveness and contribution to the organization. Lead contract negotiation and overall management with suppliers to ensure supplier compliance on warranty, quality, inventory, and supply commitments that are legally binding. Lead the sourcing activity and supplier selection process, supporting the R&D department on technology scouting. Closely monitor industrial market situations and technology trends, scouting and introducing competitive suppliers and product innovations to enhance the product portfolio. Manage supplier base compliance and supply assurance and participate in problem-solving. Manage supplier set-up and cost data management in ERP system, ensuring its accuracy and integrity. Manage supplier First Article coordination from M235 onwards, and work with SQ and R&D on technical queries and enhance part qualification. Manage Commodity supply localization, liaising with global sites on stock balancing and allocation to ensure seamless supply transfer. Manage operative purchase on order planning and supply allocation, in alignment with Commodity strategy. Manage suppliers on ECR management and liaise on First Article qualification and engineer change phase/cut-in. Manage product end-of-life management on supply matters. Participate in interdisciplinary working groups/project work to inform oneself, exert influence, and optimize internal processes and procedures. Carry out assigned tasks by the Senior Manager. Requirements: Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or any related discipline. Minimum 8 years of Supplier Commodity or Sourcing Management, with engineering-related experience. Demonstrates strong personal drive and possesses strong planning and commodity procurement skills.
