ABOUT THE COMPANY IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation ( https://iitmpravartak.org.in/) is a Technology Innovation Hub of Indian Institute of Technology, Madras focusing on Sensors, Networking, Actuators, and Control Systems (SNACS). We are hosted and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, under its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems . Since 2021 , we are engaged in Technology related incubation services, project management of Mission critical projects and projects of National importance for government and private agencies, Skill Development services, and administration of fellowships for graduate , post graduate , doctoral and post- doctoral research and administration of CSR Projects. Our core team consists of passionate and commitment driven individuals dedicated to the achievement of organizational goals towards building a resilient and ATMA NIRBAR BHARAT.Key Skills and Qualifications:15+ years of overall experience with at least 8 years of experience in product management or ownership, with a focus on database related products.Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and the broader database ecosystem.Proven experience in delivering database or technical products, Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with ability to influence and drive collaboration across teams.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with tools like JIRA, ConfluenceExcellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical team members.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in product development related to PostgreSQL-based databases or other open-source DB systems.Familiarity with cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure Database for PostgreSQL.Collaborate with stakeholders (partners, customers, internal team) to ensure that business requirements are understood and translated into technical specifications for the development team.Make data-driven decisions on feature prioritization, balancing customer requirements, competitor offerings, technical debts, and time-to-market.Work closely with the agile Engg. teams to clarify product requirements, resolve questions, and ensure that features are built according to specifications.
