Job title: Java Backend EngineerCompany: UBSJob description: Business Divisions Group FunctionsYour roleWe are looking for a Cloud engineer who will:contribute into our multi-technology software service delivery lifecycle along its waydesign, deploy, and maintain containerized applications on the Azure Kubernetes and Azure webapp Service platform, continuous integration and deployment, service monitoring and supportwork independently, have good communication skills, and have experience in a challenging environmentYour teamYou will be working in the Credit Decision engineering team in Doha, Qatar, responsible for various risk and decision applications responsible for Lending products. We are part of the Lending group, which provides IT solutions for a large variety of banking products.Your expertiseabout 8+ years of hands-on development experience using core Java, front-end technologies, and Oracle PL/SQLexcellent understanding of Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Webservices, and Microservicesgood understanding of Cloud Native microservice architecture, database concepts, Kafka messaging system, Cloud Fundamentals, and Gitlabgood knowledge of Azure web app hosting & Azure native development practicesgood knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) setup and hosting applicationshands-on experience in React JS is an added advantageknow-how of CI/CD pipeline integration (e.g., gitlab, azure devops)excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as part of a global teamAbout usUBS is the world's largest and only truly global wealth manager.
