Senior Embedded Engineer

Engender Technologies is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Embedded (firmware/hardware) Engineer to join our innovative team. As a key member of our rapidly growing company, you will play a pivotal role in developing groundbreaking cell sorting machines for the dairy industry. Responsibilities:

1. Develop Cutting-Edge Embedded solutions: Design, implement, and test embedded solutions for our cell sorting machines, focusing on real-time control, data acquisition, and communication protocols. This involves firmware and hardware design.
2. Work with software Engineers, and coordinate and manage any outsourced hardware/firmware work with potential leadership possibilities in the future.
3. FPGA Development: Develop and maintain FPGA-based control systems, optimizing performance and reliability.
4. Algorithm Development: Design and implement algorithms for real-time data processing and control.
5. Testing: Design and build test benches/test fixtures; Implement system Integration tests (Hardware-in-the-Loop/Automated tests).
6. Technical Leadership: Ability to provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
7. Fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
8. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, software developers, and product managers.

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded engineering.
3. Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and embedded systems development; Python and LabView desirable.
4. FPGA design/coding, preferably with Altera/Intel FPGA and Verilog experience.
5. Embedded microcontroller design, preferably STM32; Familiar with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and communication protocols (e.g., USB, UART, I2C).
6. Analog and digital circuit design.
7. PCB schematic capture and layout; Altium desirable.
8. Documentation and regulatory compliance.
9. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
