We are seeking to recruit several Site Supervision Staff for a position within various counties throughout Ireland (Nationwide). Candidates will be seconded into a client office/site to work on a number of capital projects in the water and wastewater sectors. We are seeking a Resident Engineer (Civil) with relevant experience in Site Supervision activities. Desirable skills/attributes:
- Experience in administrating Contracts – Public Works & FIDIC.
- Knowledge and Awareness of Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations.
- Chartered Engineer.
- Managing Safely in Construction Training.
- Enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible.
- Willing to take responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.
- An excellent communicator, written and verbal in English.
- Specialising in Civil elements of the works.
- Driving delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann with a focus on health & safety, timely delivery, cost management, and ensuring that the project is constructed to the specified quality standard.
- Ensuring that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents.
- Ensuring that all materials and workmanship are executed in accordance with the applicable specifications and that required testing is carried out.
- Monitoring and reporting on works being carried out to the Employer’s Requirements.
- Ensuring that the employer’s representative, the relevant project manager, and Uisce Éireann are fully informed of all issues arising on site.
- Implementing Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on the construction projects.
- Reviewing and commenting on project/site specific HSQE documentation.
- Monitoring compliance with contract health and safety requirements and contractor’s proposals.
- Carrying out weekly documented health and safety site reviews, following up and confirming satisfactory close-out of health and safety issues.
- Ensuring that any accident or incident on site is reported to Uisce Éireann and assisting with accident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Actively participating in Uisce Éireann HSQE team monthly inspections and confirming satisfactory close-out of any identified issues.
