Quantitative Researcher (Full-Time - Master's/Bachelor's)Location: Chicago, AmsterdamAs a Quantitative Researcher, your focus is on identifying trading opportunities. You will leverage strong quantitative skills and coding proficiency to accelerate the innovation process and help others leverage your work.By working on a variety of projects with different collaborators over a six-month period, you'll gain new knowledge and insight into the fundamentals of market dynamics, trading strategies, and our proprietary research platform. You will have plenty of opportunities to contribute and directly affect our bottom line within your first few weeks on the team.While interest in trading is key, a background in finance is not required. Our team is built mostly from academia — professors, postdocs, PhDs, and undergraduates — seeking mental diversity and adding a select group of academics each year from various disciplines.COMPENSATION: Competitive salary, plus quarterly bonus based on individual performance and contribution towards the success of others and the firm.Qualifications:Persistent Drive to Improve: An innate desire to rise to the next level, even after great accomplishments.Creative Problem Solving and Probabilistic Thinking: Enjoy learning and implementing new concepts quickly, combining knowledge from different domains to create new ideas, and take a data-driven approach to testing and implementing new ideas.Team Mindset: Understanding that collaboration enhances individual performance.Mental Flexibility & Self Awareness: Ability to adapt based on new data, results, and feedback.Orientation for Making Money: A focus on value creation and practical application of ideas.Research / Quant Trading Strategy Skills:Strong intuition and deep thinking with data sets; ability to design new alphas and understand complex systems.Demonstrates strong "hacking" ability to quickly analyze data for empirical relationships.Familiarity with classical statistical methods and a willingness to learn new methods; experience with modern AI techniques is a plus.Constantly questions finance/trading data and seeks answers despite challenges.Experience in setting up research frameworks and executing projects.Understanding of financial products, market dynamics, and microstructure.Proficiency in low-level computer languages like C++, Python, or Java, with the ability to solve complex problems.Please upload your unofficial undergrad transcript.
