Vice President, Defense Manufacturing Training Program About the Company Dynamic defense manufacturing company Industry Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Defense Manufacturing Training Program. The successful candidate will be tasked with providing strategic oversight and management of this critical training initiative, ensuring the successful training, support, and placement of students with companies involved in the defense sector. Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership, developing and implementing growth strategies, and creating a sustainable and continuously improving program. The role also involves leading and mentoring the department's leadership team, engaging with industry and community partners, and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders. The VP will be expected to manage project milestones, guide recruitment, training, and job placement strategies, and oversee program data to ensure alignment with industry goals and regulatory standards.
Applicants for the VP position must have a Master's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years' experience in workforce development or education management, with at least 5 years' in a leadership role. A proven track record in leading large-scale training or workforce development programs, experience in the defense sector, and technical experience in manufacturing are highly valued. The role requires a candidate with significant leadership experience, budget management skills, and a mix of entrepreneurial experience. The ideal candidate will also have a high level of presentation experience at senior-level audiences and be adept at building and maintaining strategic partnerships. Due to the nature of the program, candidates must be US Citizens or US Permanent Residents, and the position is not remote, with a typical workweek of 4 days on-site.
