Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage procurement plans for raw materials, chemicals, and hardware required for production, achieving the company’s goals for product types, inventory, and profit.
- Oversee the research and analysis of bulk raw material procurement, summarize and analyze findings, and provide recommendations that benefit the company. Report directly to the Executive Vice President in charge of group procurement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers to meet quality and cost targets. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible value and manage long-term contracts.
- Conduct market research and analysis on raw materials, chemicals, and hardware pricing trends.
- Provide the Executive Vice President with an annual procurement report for the responsible areas and generate various departmental analysis reports.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier correspondence. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards in all purchasing activities.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure spending aligns with the company's financial targets. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies in the procurement process.
- Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance. Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., production, logistics, quality control) to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery time, and cost efficiency. Mitigate potential supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or relevant fields with at least 5 years of purchasing experience, including over 3 years in a similar position. Experience in related fields such as the chemical industry will be considered.
- Strong communication skills, professional skills, and planning abilities.
- Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay.
