This is a full-time position; compensation $24-25/hrOverview of role:Building sales and supporting the GARDENWORKS Brand by providing outstanding serviceSharing your gardening knowledge - informing guests about care & maintenance, asking questions to assist in solving their gardening concernsManaging the department inventory flow - working with the VP Purchasing of Garden Supplies to ensure you have the right product at the right timeReceiving product shipments, recording damaged items, shortages, and corresponding with vendor to rectify damages and shortagesSupporting training in product knowledge, product features and benefits, and in recommendations to meet our guests needs and inquiriesWe look to you to bolster a positive & fun work environment where our team can be proud of their work and are recognized for their contributionIs this you?You have a strong passion for providing an outstanding & memorable guest experienceA good understanding of soils, fertilizers & garden remedies (pest ID), or a willingness to learn!3+ years customer service experience in a retail settingFlexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays as seasonal peaks requireThis job requires extended periods of walking and standing, the ability to perform regular lifting, as well as exposure to varying weather conditionsYou have strong organization skills; are self-directed and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentYou love working & collaborating within a team environment, as well as independentlyForklift certification or willingness to go through our in-house training programWe offer a culture that promotes a healthy, fulfilling work/life balance, Health & wellness benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical and dental), and an amazing employee discount!GARDENWORKS is an equal opportunity employer.
