IMI2784 - Senior Engineer, Naval ArchitectureJob FamilyContract Type: DirectLocationBusiness LineDepartmentClosing Date: 31-Dec-2024Job PurposeWe are looking to hire Senior Engineer, Naval Architecture II, I. This job role is to ensure execution of Naval Architectural Engineering activities (Concept, Front End Engineering, Technical Study, and Detail Design).Key Accountabilities & Working RelationshipsKey Accountabilities:Preparation of design deliverables complying with all relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Management Procedure.Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.Interface with other departments to reflect the as-on-date input from other Departments as applicable.Capture all changes/modifications in the deliverables that have been intimated by Project, prior to release of deliverable.Prepare specification, technical evaluation, Supplier documentation review.Maintain the required technical quality of work.Identify manpower requirements based on workload.Attend project review meetings / 3D model review meetings as required.Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents/drawings before release at any revision status.Coordination with the other Engineering disciplines, Customer, and Supplier.Control of Quality of engineering documents regarding Quality assurance basis.Review of MTO and Material Requisitions.Complete the work within budget and schedule. Raise changes orders for scope change.Review project scope of work, specifications, and deliverables. Raise technical queries to maintain preferred practices and operational requirements.Supervise and guide the assigned engineers, designers, and draftsmen.Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.Working Relationships:Internal Interactions: Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Division Head - Naval Architecture & Architectural.External Interactions:Who we are looking forEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent.Experience: At least 9-15 years' experience in engineering design department of any offshore rig building or ship building industry.Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations): Preferred - Any additional certification/courses in Naval Engineering.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Sound knowledge of international codes & standards, IMO regulations, and class rules.Design knowledge/experience in naval architectural calculations used in marine industry.Exposure to AutoCAD & 3D design tools like AVEVA.Exposure in naval architecture software such as NAPA, MOSES etc.Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuous improvement.Knowledge/Experience in Load out & Float off is desirable.Languages:About Application ProcessIf you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome your application.
