The Software Engineer would be part of the software group that focuses on Industry 4.0 software solutions for the next generation Smart Factory. The group is responsible for detailing, implementing, and fully supporting CAD/CAM and MES Software solutions for customers. Responsibilities: Technical project implementation and implementation of Industry 4.0 software solutions. Consulting, training, and support of our national and international customers regarding software solutions and their integration into the existing IT infrastructure via phone, email, and sometimes onsite. Serve as a competent contact person in topics concerning industrial production and networking, as well as in all questions regarding software systems, the computer environment, and network administration. Assess process value chain and adapt software solutions to customer needs. Communicate and coordinate with other teams working on the same project. Provide software support for the machines sales team in terms of time study and feasibility study based on customer needs. Ability to work under pressure and maintain customer orientation. Requirements: 2 years of experience in a Software Systems or Software Support Engineering position. Ideally, professional experience in the field of network administration or application consulting. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming software for machine tools is an added advantage. Knowledge of manufacturing value streams and CNC machine technology is desirable. Willingness to undertake national and international assignments (travel activity approx. 50%). Training or completed studies in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
