Virtual Force is a Technology Advisory, Innovation, Design and Engineering platform that builds next generation software products for enterprises and startups. We have solved complex technology roll out and growth problems for our clients in HealthTech, FinTech, EdTech, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Digital Transformation Verticals.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and competent Junior Commercial Data Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Business Decision Support:
Perform regular and ad hoc financial, and qualitative analysis, along with project performance reporting that support the project teams and management decision making.
Create, augment and maintain project business cases.
Prepare presentations and reports to support users, leveraging existing and new analytics tools including PowerBI.
Support decision making, providing data, insights and questioning outputs to guide stakeholders on how to maximise value from their work.
Support the Head of Commercial Operations and leadership for ad hoc projects, analysis and information requests.
Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting:
Maintenance and continual development of Global Product's 3 year, financial year and quarterly planning tools.
Continually gather inputs and understanding from commercial teams in the business.
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, operating and capital expenditures.
Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis, business partnering across all areas of the business providing data driven insights.
Contribute to monthly and quarterly Financial reports.
Requirements:
Education:
We value formal education including bachelors and masters degrees (commercial, finance, data science focus), CPA, CFA qualifications etc, but they are not a pre-requisite. Candidates are expected to demonstrate their expertise in practical terms. We value accomplishment. Show us how you approach and solve problems, and how do you deliver results.
Experience, exposure and skills:
Experience:
We are open to fresh graduates who can demonstrate strong technical skills, and a keen problem solving and can do mindset.
Preferred: 1 - 2 years of experience in tier 1 or 2 consultancy firm, or fast paced corporate environment.
Financial: Understanding of accounting principles, chart of accounts, cost centre structure, capitalisation rules, management reporting set up, and financial requirements gathering, financial modelling (an understanding of how 3 way financial models work).
Technical: You'll probably have demonstrable skills we need if you have some prior experience or exposure to solving problems using a combination of Python.
People and Soft skills:
Growth mindset, and willingness to take on tough assignments and deal with discomfort to achieve an outcome (This is the single most important trait we are looking for).
Proven analytical ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets and communicate them effectively.
Demonstrated Conceptual Thinking in development of new metrics.

Demonstrated written and verbal communication and influencing skills, collaboration, problem solving, presentation, conflict management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to set and manage priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
