- Perform comprehensive mental health assessments.
- Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with mental health issues.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions.
- Assist in crisis intervention and management.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team.
- Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients.
- Advocate for patient rights and needs.
- Engage in professional development and continuous learning.
- Implement evidencebased practice in care delivery.
- Assist with medication management and administration.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the applicable state.
- Bachelor s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in PsychiatricMental Health Nursing (PMHBC) is an advantage.
- Experience in clinical nursing especially in mental health settings.
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a teambased environment.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Commitment to patientcentered care and cultural competence.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical issues in mental health care.
- Experience in crisis intervention techniques.
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop care plans.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and accommodate patient needs.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education.
